Inaugural ICAO-SAA DGCAs Programme on Aviation Security, Montreal

The inaugural ICAO-SAA Directors General on Civil Aviation (DGCAs) Programme on Aviation Security was successfully conducted at ICAO HQ in Montreal from 1 to 2 December 2018. The programme attended by 19 DGCAs and senior officials, was opened by Dr Fang Liu, Secretary-General, ICAO and Mr Bernard Lim, Senior Director (International Relations and Security Division), Ministry of Transport, Singapore

The executive programme provided participants with specific knowledge pertaining to the international civil aviation security framework and its compliance, enabling civil aviation authories to carry out their responsibilities to ensure the effective management of aviation security in their States. It also featured a roundtable discussion on new emerging threats, challenges, considerations and international cooperation, as well as in-depth case study discussions. The programme was very well received with compliments as follows:-
