2nd International Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports – Engineering and Future Development

21 September 2018

SAA successfully conducted the 2nd run of the International Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports – Engineering and Future Development (ISAIA) from 20 to 21 September 2018.

The Symposium saw more than 100 delegates from over 10 countries, bringing together industry experts, practitioners and academia in the field of airfield engineering to share innovative concepts and discuss challenges in airfield infrastructure planning and future development. The focus of this 2nd run of ISAIA was on the key engineering and environmental challenges being faced by airports in their expansion plans, the latest innovation and applications in airfield resurfacing, and insights into the planning and development of hub airports.

With strong support from Changi Airport Group and the National University of Singapore, ISAIA 2018 featured a total of 17 speakers. There was also a panel discussion focused on Environmental Challenges in Airport Expansion, which saw a lively exchange of ideas and opinions amongst the panelists and audience.

ISAIA continues to serve as a nexus for knowledge sharing amongst engineering practitioners in the aviation industry, and SAA looks forward to exploring new themes and topics for future iterations of ISAIA.

Delegates gave compliments such as :
