Asia Pacific Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Symposium

01 June 2016

The first ever Asia Pacific Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Symposium was recently held at the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) on 31 May - 1 June 2016. The symposium was opened by Mr Kevin Shum, Director-General, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.

A total of 130 local and foreign delegates from over 50 CAAs, ANSPs, IHLs and industry partners attended the event, and took part in lively sessions to share their experiences and discuss key challenges.

As part of the symposium, site visits to the Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) and local industry player ALAS were also arranged for overseas delegates.

The symposium was a timely and excellent platform for key stakeholders to discuss issues and solutions, and the delegates have also expressed their interest in more of such events in the future.
