INTRODUCTION
In the global
transportation market, an organisation’s level of emergency
preparedness and effectiveness in crisis management plays as large a role
in risk mitigation as their safety programme. Being prepared for any aviation
crisis and managing them are complex tasks. It requires detailed planning
covering a wide spectrum of related tasks including keeping up-to-date
with the latest developments and technologies. It is critical for those
who are or will be involved in crisis management to be armed with the
crucial tools and information that they require so that they are better
prepared to implement crisis preparedness plans for the aviation industry
and associated industries involved in aviation response efforts, crisis
preparedness and management should the need arise.
OBJECTIVES
This exclusive
conference will provide a unique platform for management and operational
personnel involved in aviation crisis preparedness, crisis management and
crisis response efforts of international and regional airports and
airlines to share and address issues relating to crisis preparedness
requirements in aircraft accidents management. Key issues such as
policies and governance, emergency response at different accident sites,
family assistance, public information management and emergency
preparedness will be addressed. A panel of industry practitioners and
experts will explore modern concepts and share industry best practices in
aviation emergency preparedness and the management of crisis situations.
